"South Beach Sings at Crescendos"
This romantic new hideaway in the DiLido building at the Ritz Carlton Hotel has a cozy, romantic atmosphere, a speakeasy vibe and elegant musicians tickling the ivories for your late night rendezvous. Cuddle up with your special someone on the luxe suede banquettes, sip a snifter of something strong and find yourself transported back to an era when grownups didn’t spend their evenings texting each other in a thumping dance club.
Crescendos features a full cocktail bar, an extensive cigar menu and a short wine list with vintage champagnes available by the glass or by the bottle. Bartenders will muddle up tropical fusion martinis, flavored mojitos, and mixed drinks including the elegant Pimm’s Cup and the bittersweet Latin Manhattan.
We're talking of course about the lost art of the nightcap, and we're pleased to announce it's making a triumphant return in South Beach with Crescendos.
Crescendos is where you'll want to turn when you're in South Beach, it's getting late and you feel like you need just one more Pimm's Cup to clinch the situation (whatever situation that may be…we're not judging). This is where you'll want to take that new secretary at the office who's been teasing you in the copy room, or that new brunette at the gym that's been heating up the elliptical machine.
As you walk in, the first thing you'll notice is the unmistakable smell of cigar smoke (yes, you can smoke in here) mingling with the smooth ivory-tickling coming from the baby grand in the corner. Slide into one of the cozy suede banquettes, order up a couple of said Pimm's or a Latin Manhattan (rum, vermouth, bitters) and peruse the menu of handmade Dominicans.
" Crescendos, in the heart of South Beach, is good for old-school atmosphere and new-school drinks. Sit back and enjoy various key-ticklers while sipping on one of the many libations brought to you by the The Piano Lounge mixologist. The specialty cocktail list that runs at the very reasonable price of $12 a pop includes my favorites: the cucumber gimlet, with fresh cucumber, absolut, lime, and sugar; the muddled madness, with fresh lime and watermelon; and the cosmobellini, with citrus vodka, cointreau, white peach puree, and prosecco. For those who are more into a clean spirit and a cigar by the piano, the Miami bar has an impressively lengthy and affordable list of said items as well. "
